NAVAL SEA CADETS ACCEPTING NEW RECRUITS
Adventure for Young People
Green Bay, Wisconsin - The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps has openings for a limited number of young people ages 11-17 to join the crew of VADM James H. Flatley Jr. Division.
The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is comprised of everyday young people who have an interest in seamanship, the military or other seagoing careers. These young people participate in an anti-drug, anti-alcohol, anti-tobacco and anti-gang environment. Cadet applicants must be crime-free, drug-free and physically fit.
VADM James H. Flatley Jr. Division Cadets, drill at the Naval Operational Support Center (NOSC) 2949 Ramada Way in Green Bay one week end per month from September to June. Training is 7:30 am to 3:30 pm each Saturday and Sunday usually the first week end of the month. Cadets attend summer trainings around the USA during July and August. The cadet program is managed by volunteers and senior cadets dedicated to instilling the core values of Pride, Service and Patriotism
Sea Cadets wear the traditional Navy uniform and can participate in a multitude of advanced training programs, including: at-sea training with the Navy and Coast Guard, submarine orientation, SEAL training, search and rescue, and international exchanges. Naval Sea Cadets from the Flatley Division completed Sea Cadet Recruit Training in Great Lakes, IL in June 2008 learning about fire-fighting, damage control, military drill and naval customs.
Adult volunteers, with or without military experience, are also needed to allow the Sea Cadet program to grow. Those with seamanship, engineering, administrative and fund-raising skills are especially needed. Interested adult volunteers are encouraged to CONTACT US VIA EMAIL OR PHONE:
